Workshops
The
next workshop is: Couples Therapeutic Massage Workshop
Time & Location:
Saturday, April 18, 2009
from 2 - 5 pm
Peak Fitness, 6118-F Farrington Road, Chapel Hill NC 27514
This class is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about taking better care of themselves and others through touch. Certified Advanced Rolfers, Bethany Ward and Larry Koliha, share a variety of techniques from their classes and private practices. This experiential workshop provides hands-on instruction for beginners. You'll learn a step-by-step process for working with the entire body. When you leave class, you will be able to give a full-body massage — or, simply use a section of techniques to address a problem area. Registration is in pairs, so if you don't have a soulmate handy, call a friend or family member and come anyway!
Tuition includes a massage booklet with instructions and photos for each pair. Because most people don't have therapy tables at home, you will learn how to perform techniques on a padded surface on the floor.
Reservations & Tuition:
To reserve your space, call Larry at 919.943.0128. After you sign up, you will receive a list of what to wear and things to bring.
Tuition is $100 per couple. Due to space limitations and current demand, we need to receive your check to hold your spot. Make checks out to "ActionPotential" with Couples Workshop in the memo line. Mail your check to: ActionPotential, 5612 Frenchmans Creek Drive, Durham, NC 27713.
Refunds (minus a $25 processing fee) are available until a week before class. You must notify us of cancellation by April 11, 2009.
Bios: Certified Advanced Rolfers and Rolf Movement Practitioners, Larry Koliha and Bethany Ward split their time between working one-on-one with clients in private practice and teaching massage and bodywork to students. Both teach for Advanced-Trainings.com, a continuing education provider of advanced myofascial techniques, and the Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration, the body that certifies Rolfing practitioners.
